On this last build, about two weeks into being happy with myself, I start hearing a strange noise int he case. I try to ignore it. It gets louder. I turn my music up, I dont want to know what it is. Then, zooommbamm, or whatever the noise is the plastic fan blades make when the explode. I open the case to see chuncks of plastic all over the place, turns out the proccessor's fan shouldn't rub up against any kind of wire, no matter what the color.

Like a man in a bikini contest, I tucked them in, and replaced the fan.

Brutal fellas. Yah, Poopipe, I hear if the heatsink and/or CPU breaks off the motherboard it'll just bounce around inside the chassis and destroy everything.

I started constructing the rig last night. It took 5 hours and I'm still not done. I would like to impress upon you all just how damn big a GeForce 280 is. Take a 8.5x11 sheet of paper and fold it in half lengthwise so that you have 11"x4" sheet of paper. That is just barely smaller than the size of the card. It is also two PCI slots thick, which is about 1.3" or maybe 3 centimeters.

Either way, it takes a PCI slot AND a HDD bay to fit into an Antec P182.

I hear that - I've got a 260 here and a 280 sitting on my desk at work, I don't reckon you could fit more than 4 n a standard gentlemans shoebox

not quite as big as the old wildcat cards though.

what happened to Honki?
