MO-CAP Live feedback in MAX?

I have a caracter rigged and using DirectX shader which I need to animate LIVE on the UI using motion capture equipment on a real person. I know I can import motin capture files, but what I need is to actually have a live real-time feedback in the Max UI without going through lifve-motion or importing motion files. Does anyone know if this can be done and how?

I wish I could help you out. I might be able to in a few months or so, when I have some more mo-cap experience.
I will be ceeping an eye on this thread. I want to learn this as well
(Good question. Going to look for an answer on the web right away...)

NO WAY are you gunna get live, motion tracking. The propiertary software alone cost upwards of 60k, your not gunna get live feeds into max. Unless you pay sh*tloads of money for the software or develop your own.

Having played with propiertary motion capture software, i know for a fact its dedicated solutions. That have to run very fast processing - firstly you deriving motion cloud data from optically tracked markers. That setup alone cost 2 mil and dealing, interpolation, setup etc - its huge.

sorry bud, not gonna happen!

Even most high end mocap software doesnt have realtime feeds even at the capture stage. Vicon for example, still has to process the data accumilated from a capture take before you can see the results in 3d.

There are some that have realtime 3d feeds, but like eek said they are very expensive, and even then it is on the equipments propiertaty software.
