The Ancor That Wrecked The Car
Hi this is a project i am currently working on. Sorry im not posting wips from day one i started. Bud ill post the wips from the point i am actually on today.
If someone wants to see other stuff etc. All comments and critics is welcome. The scene im making is an old garage with a car inside. Some plane in the sky dropped a shift. " The Ancor " . While the ancor was to old and rusted for the ships to use and the plane didn't wanted to fly the heavy thing all the way. So it drops through the barn into the car that is parked their. It will be a garage with several doors. With doors on both sides. The car now is standing horizontal in front of the door, so he came through the other doors on the other side. The doors in front of him are actually the old doors that aren't used in the present time so the wood will be rotten etc. If someone had some ideas or questions, im happy to answer them. Hope you like it.. ![]() |

very cool idea! but the scene needs a lot of work. i think most of it would be fun though! right now the scene has absolutely no weight to it at all. heres the big list of things i would change...
Judging by the way that anchor went through the roof, it would most definitely not be stopped by a car. in that respect, i think the anchor should practically be on the ground Also, the front end of the car would be touching the ground as well, with the fenders coming over the tires, and maybe even the tires popped from all the pressure too. The chain should be dropped on the floor as well if a plane just let go of it haha. Ill wait till an update for some more critique, but this could be a really funny image if u do it right! |

Hi, Here is an update of my scene. I listened to the comments and made it more havy and placed the ancor on the side. Bud i want the ancor to stay on top of the car actually. So i think i will try to smack the whole car into the ground. So that the ancor can stay in the front of the car.I Also took some photographs in my neighboorhood of all kinds of concrete and garage doors. I photoshopped it and this is the result on the backwall.
Comments! Comments! all is welcome. This is the texture of the wall flat. ![]() This is the update of the scene ![]() Last edited by tjerkotten; 15-08-2006 at 08:00 PM.. |

I really love this, i particulalry like the way you model, even though the first stages are low poly, they look great, and then you make your model to high poly, and they take on almost super powers as they look brilliant, i'm really like the creativity here, it's shaping up to be a very good scene indeed, and your texturing is shaping up very nicely also. Keep us posted, i'm loving this scene.

Hi , so here is an update of the floor texture. I moddeled cracks in 3D and
Try to use it with texture maps and use the texture maps on a single plane. I Took photo's on the street near my house to get the street texture and When i was standing on top of an sewer top i took a photo from a crack that was on the side of it. That crack i used to create the great cracks in the photoshop texture. Bud its not what i have in mind. It doesn't give me the feeling that i want so i took alot of other photo's for another idea that you will see in my new update. Bud its still fun to look at the texture progress of the texture i told about... ![]() |
