Renault Megane CC

hey all
after a year or so tinkering in 3Dmax, getting to know the tools 'n modifiers and some crappy tutorial-never finished-crap, I finaly got off my lazy ass and started on my first project I intend to actually finish (yeeeij)

So I decided to try and create a nice looking car.. a friend of mine has a Renault Megane Coupé Cabrio that has a gigantic vinyl of his store on and I would like to surprise him with a 3D version of his car..

I just started on the hood and polymodelled my way around and this is what I have so far..

But when I got to the wheel arch, I got one poly one poly that bothers me and I just don't know what to do with it.. when I try to follow the arch and place the vertices, I don't realy get a quad anymore.. (image below) any ideas?

Since I got stuck on the wheels I worked on the front of the car a bit..

I've not completed a successful finished car model yet, but I'll have to have another go soon.

have to be out of bed by 4 am (I'm +1 GMT) to go to work

but car is going nicely if I do say so myself.. and that for my first project ever

Not bad for your first proper project at all. If I think back, I've never finished one of my projects properly, so I hope you do.

small update.. added bumper and grilled intake vents.. don't realy like how they look on render but don't know how they look up close in real life.. should check it out..

I'm trying to model the headlights know but I'm having problems with the seam..

Looking very good!

When I make a model, I tend to build them out of objects and then fit them together, rather than try to make the whole model out of one object.

well actually, the bumper is a different object , so are the grids and the lights.. (for texturing purpose)I'll "panel" my object later to make them seperate and have a nice seam..

ok another update (hope nobody's anyoned by it :s)

been goofing around mostly, added headlight glass, tires, custom rims and those little thingies that spray the headlights when they are dirty
