well last update for today.. again of to bed.. I worked my way around the side to the back.. next up will be defining the door and detailing the back and door handle..
Kage: thanks alot! But I think you give me to much credit Just put your heart and soul into every vertex and it will turn out great..(I think I have a strained muscle in my wrist after pushing and pulling all those verts )anyway here are some renders (perspective render + wire and front perspective + wire) Hope you like it.. cya all soon I hope |

I honestly think its really good
![]() i think once you finish this, if you work as hard as you are now, with the right materials, you'll end up with a photoreal car. I always think clay renders look better than alot of material renders unless everythings spot on, so if you work hard on that, you'll get a good result from me then too, hehe.

thanks Kage, photoreal would be sweet but I think I will blow it on the textures or the supports for the roof or the lights (which I think are the hardest part to get right).. I never ever could texture anything remotely realistic.. should go over a few tutorials before attempting for final render..
anyway, only a small update today.. very busy with girlfriend coming over and all.. so only got around making the rear bumper, the door handle frame (without messing up the crease ) and small section of the upper-back portion.. |

I'll remember that Kage
but for now things go rather nicely (better than expected... or silence before the storm ) anyway.. worked across the back to make the roof and started panelling the hood and the door.. things left to do: fixing some minor problems at the backside, windows, lights, logos, whipers and some more panelling.. and then maybe some generic interior thingies so the inside doesn't look that empty, but the cars windows are heavely tinted, so doesn't realy need to be super accurate and then of course texturing and rendering ![]() |

Thats nice
![]() Is that an error with the JPEG giving that line on the back that doesn't look like its meant to be there? The one going out to the right? Can you by any chance post a wireframe? After that, you now need to texture. Theres a great car material tutorial out there, that uses the Shellac material. If you find that, you'll be in the money ![]()

Ah, thats what it is
![]() Heres the material tutorial: http://www.3dkingdom.org/modules.php...rticle&sid=541 Don't worry about where it says Mental Ray if you don't use that. Just follow the material part, and you'll have the best material available I believe, which is capable of alot of tinkering. Nice and clean wires there! Thanks for kind words ![]()

Good modeling man, the only thing that is bad is the rendering, you should work on that horrible grain
it really ruins the quality of your model, I bet it will look much better without it ![]() looking forward to the materials. |

yeah I know about the grain but they are just realy fast renders... about 5 seconds each (seemed kinda stupid to wait half an hour for just a clay render) and realy low quality so they load fast on any connection (the pics are 4k each).. they renders are gonna be much nicer quality
