The most useful tutorials I've come across have to be the app. non-specific ones.
This one is essential - http://www.theminters.com/misc/artic...aces/index.htm When starting out with 3d I found this extremely useful, even though I have very limited french - http://mr2k.3dvf.net/tutorials/max/p...ndicoot_01.htm I've never really used the edge extrude method personally, but with new techniques for resurfacing (silo2 - topology tool/surface snap & modo - pen tool/background constraint combination) I think it will become more commonplace in my workflow. It's also nice to see other peoples workflow & techniques - http://www.3dm3.com/tutorials/maya/dobby/index5.php Anyway these are the ones that changed my way of thinking. There are a million and one tutorials out there so it's hard to choose ![]() |

I know it sounds silly but ... the most useful tutorial I have EVER come across is this one:
Toaster on 3DTOTAL.com Without it ... I wouldn't know loop, ring ... connect edges ... etc. My modeling speed has gone up a TON and .... I can model more in-organic things now. ![]() This also helps me (I think I got it off here or cgtalk.com) (if this is in violation of copyright or something PLEASE tell me) Topology
