Question poly selecting

Hello,

i often select polys this way -> (like in the picture, just by draging with the mouse over the mesh) but the programm selects all polys from all sites, but i would like to select only the polys you can see from one site..you know front, botton, back...

Please help!

what software are you using. In max there is an option in editable poly mode called ignore backfacing. When checked you shouldn't be able to click any face with its back to you. Sometimes you still can, but most of the time it works.

well if polys are looking at an angle of 90 degrees to your viewport then some may be selected, some not. use alt+left mouse to deselect
