Makin' a city-need advice

How would anyone here go about making a city. The buildings I have are pretty simple boxes. How do I texture all the buildings. How do I keep it manageable and renderable on my computer. It's for an animation which ships will be going through a chase scene in it. Does anyone know an easy way. I tried to use the scatter command with a clump of buildings. But I have to union them first, and then they intersect eachother. Does anyone have any advice?
-Thanks

Sorry pal, no easy way to make sucha thing. If you want to make it reasonably good youŽll have to place the buildings one by one.

i created a pritty big city :

the whole city :

and this is only part one.

i used a lot of .cel textures they are very small and fast to render.
if you create a big city try to use as less lights as posible this reduces the rendertime bigtime.

to vieuw all my other pictures + the animation visit :

ps. just make 12 buildings or so and copy paste them a lot
