Now, I am probablly just about the definition of a noob, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
What I see that could be changed to make it more realistic is the feet seem to stay flat relative to both platforms the entire time, when he jumps he should rotate up to the ball of his feet just before he leaves the ground. Then, when he lands his left knee seems to give a little, then "snap" back to being straight, I would say try to leave it bent. Both of his elbows do the snap to being bent at the end, these you should probablly just smooth out the motion. Also, it does look a little like its in slow motion, I think you should speed the whole thing up. Otherwise, it looks great! Good to see another Blender user here on the forums, it makes me feel not quite so poor. :-) |

I'm glade to see we got more challengers. I'll start working on mine soon, I will give the low poly comp a few days rest.

Mesciurius: You need to work more on the timing itself here. Ditch the animated camera so one can see the animation of the character. That's what's important here. I'd start off by setting the main poses. (start, anticipation, jump, upper pos, landing/contact, down) I would set all these frames on ones. Right next to eachoter. Then I'd drag the frames out in the timeline till it fits perfectly. Ignore the inbetweening for now. If you can manke it feel rigth in the blockingphase here you should have no problems smoothing it out with breakdowns and some manually tweaked inbetweening. As it is now, it's too floating

good to see you XYZ, two things.
1. you will need to post it in the the final entry thread. 2. you need a screen grab to show your keyframes. |

*Kicks WMP for the Mac*
I keep on getting the message, "The playlist format is not recognized." and then I can't watch the video. Any way you guys could either host to a different site or instead upload a .mov file by chance? If not, I can wait until Sunday. Thanks ![]()
