looking for Male body tutorial
Hi,
I'm looking for a tutorial similar to the jeanne of arc one but with a male subject. Do someone know one? Thank you!

I think that the joan of arc tut is appliable to a male body. Just take a moment to see the differences between the male and female a bit beyond the obvious and adjust the technique to it. They aren't so different and its a much better practice anatomy-wise than just copying some model from a tut imho since it will give you some understanding of those differences (and similarities). Just gather some good reference of the male body and turn joan into john.

And now, seriously, do you think I've asked it here for no reason?

Perhaps he just tried to sarcastically push you to do some personal research, i guess ive been totally ignored... Even scrolling down the forums list you can find a tutorials section. I bet there is somehting specific there for your needs.

evilSMILE's answer was the best reply you received. Maybe its the fact you don't know how to use Google.
Google is the best friend of any 3D artist. You prolly spent more time complaining about evilSMILE response that actually searching through Google. The tutorial your looking for is probably located in your 3D program's Modify Panel right next to the "Make for Me" button. -CoTToN p.s.- I spaced everything out for you so you could quote me faster in your next post and not waste time, like searching goolge. |

I did it for you.
Follow through the Joan of Arc tutorial, but for a guide, use this: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...ale_body_1.jpg Even better, use this site's tutorial index to find: http://67.15.36.49/team/tutorials/kn...t_pilot_01.asp P.S. I used google to find both those links. |

You don't get good at anatomy doing a tutorial, you get good at it studying reference imo. The tut just shows you the way to apply your concepts acquired studying but wont give you the necessary tools to understand anatomy. Id suggest buying a book or downloading MASSIVE reference material. Even taking photos of your own body could proove priceless for your studies. IF you look closely, male and female bodies aren't that different appart from whats evident. They have the same muscles but with a bit different proportions, thats all.
Regardless of you being new or old at 3d, if you don't understand the foundations before trying to model something (anatomy in this case), you wont get very far. Modeling a character goes way beyond knowing your 3d app, it means you need to understand proportions and basically how a whole system works. PErhaps more than a tutorial, what you need is this. http://www.3d.sk/. http://www.fineart.sk/
