It's interesting but doesn't really tell a story, I think maybe some dead leaves around the base of the plant would help. Also maybe a full bottle of water right next to it would give the message that while it would have been easy to water the plant you didn't because you were "lost".
Maybe it's me but somehow it doesn't fit the title.
