Priceless very nice pencil work Kitana. Looks like the vacation was good for you. Its good to get refreshed once in a while. Artists can have brush block too.

I'm happy you like it It's with charcoal and pencil and I still think that I miss something in this technique... Maybe I will try next time not to smudge so much.

As for the digital training, I really liked the girl's face and expression, and same goes to the color palette. But those 'dissolved' strokes around the hair are weird, in my opinion. But I think it's just a matter of time to get used to other brushes, and the best occasion to use them =D Keep it up!

Thank you so much Resenhista
It's a matter of time really, becs I still can't pick the right stuff to draw hair and just try many different brushes out. I don't know why the hair tutorials and drawing seems so complex to me Here I just try to improve the hair :

The tutorials are ok to show you a way to do things but you have to take that and adapt it to your own style and techniques. I lately found setting a flat color for the hair and then just working out just a few hints of highlight here and there at key points gives the hair more volume than a full detailed work of each strand.

Nice one Kitana. I think you should dare more with the shadows, make them darker and colder. The background should influence a bit the color of her skin. Also, her stomach is too flat, lacks volume and I think her breasts are a bit too high.

Thank you Avi After I finished it I could see most of the mistakes ( anatomical, in lighting atc...) but this is my skills at real point. I wanted to see exactly where am I on the road... I realized for me that I can't make a good anatomy without reference ( and sometimes if the pose is hard even with it) , I don't have good sense for lighting to make the scene looks real and I can't make different realistic materials. So this work is my best and I know that this is far from good But when I have a look in my old works- it is much better in all of this points.

I have all your suggestions in my mind Thanks again :P

Lol, no hurry, you have all your life to hone your skills, I was just pointing weak points on this one. I still use references and its no shame in that. Admitting a weak point is the first step in strengthening it. So no hurry, take it easy, keep working and things will happen for you.
