And I always judge myself fair enough. I spend a lot of time examinating my work and good artist's work, searching for what still missing in my vision to become better. I'm really happy that you always have a look in my thread with useful critics

Still searching myself. I got my own style but there is always something to improve and I learned to appreciate the search rather than the result because the result is fleeting and you'll get back to searching in no time

But its nice to share my thoughts and observations and receive the same in return from other people. Thats why I'm here

using references for anatomy, lighting, details is a must for a professional artist...when we are not referring any particular pictures, we are referring from our own mind, the things which we saw in the past...some times life drawings helps in anatomy, some times still life studies helps us to find natural color harmony.

regarding your painting...you can add details and work on further...i am sure you will get better results...i like the composition and the idea...over all a good picture...but needs to be finished well.

The one looks a lot like a glass figurine. The snails bra is a nice touch. Creepy girl, the second one.
