Question :X

So ive been modelling alot and then just leave it on my harddrive , ive learned alot of basic modeling things but im still a big newbie though, no idea how bones work and still dont know how to texture something correctly only know how to make models with textures that dont need any pro-texturing work like just a tile texture for the floor and stuff, oh well...

My question was, I remember that you can somewhere modify:

Show in Viewport OFF/ON
Show in Renderer OFF/ON

I dont remember where you can adjust this, because I want to put something OFF in the viewport so my scene doesnt respond slow... Any idea where? Thanks!

what program are you using.

I'm max, you can hit f3 and f4 to change the viewport from wires and shaded. Also, if your noting adjusting anything on a part of the scene, you can always hide it, then unhide when your ready to render. If an object in the scene it there for placement, but not for rendering, you can right click, properties, then check/uncheck the make renderable option.

When you render, in the render dialogue, at the lower-left corner.
