Rules: http://forums.3dtotal.com/s...ead.php?t=24525 all the best.... .

For this its not tough to think up ideas, its the execution which will be a little challenging....wait, this is a challenge! Not going to do anything with the challenge this evening , probably do some doodling. I found the pieces I've done for the last few challenges quite horrid and its time to refocus.

Lukanus: Excellent first piece. The contrast is almost unbeatable, and that fog, man, how did you do that? One critique though, the foreground buildings could have benifitted with a little more shapness adn detail. Just to balance it with the background object.
I'm still sketching....trying to get back in the art grove is a bit tough, but fun. :-) ________ Sl350 Last edited by wargrafix; 04-05-2011 at 02:22 PM.. |

Thanx wargrafix!
I agree with you, that it would be nice too see more detail in the front buildings(the same thing said to me my friend who has nothing common with CG).But in the end it doesn't look so bad I think . And regarding the fog/mist, I've made a brush which imitates a single cloud particle and then I've adapted it to needs. With a single brush I've created the mist/fog and the smoke/steam. I recommend that you create your own brush presets. It accelerates the work and makes it much easier. Regards! |

Thanx for your kind comments people! I appreciate it!
1. roflol - I like your idea and the comments about communism .It's flat and the factory looks transparent(even if it's a cartoonish factory).Anyway,it's a way rad sketch as for a 20 min job.Keep on trucking!2.defaultalias- What I like at most in your painting is the texture. It looks for me like you can almost touch it.It's realy great. But the rest looks like a painting on a flat iron sheet. After all it has something that feels warm and realy industrial. And that was the point of the challenge.Nice job. Btw,it's quite quiet this time.Where are you people?? ![]() |
