Here's a quick one from me...
Thought I'd see what Artrage was like - I've been meaning to give it a go for ages now, given the amazing painterly results you can get
(as Waheed so perfectly demonstrates )

I think I need more practice in it but anyway:

Under an hour (thats's quick for me ), Intuos3, Artrage, plenty of colourful scribbles...

Hope to do another before closing anyway..
I was about half way through two other pics for this challenge but my pc and photoshop keeps crashing and corrupting the psd files
...hmmm...knew I should'nt have stopped making backups along the way. Bummer

2 h, photoshop.

I got right to the end of it and then I got a fabulous "photoshop not responding message", luckily I made a screen shot but how annoying

First time entering the contest, I guess this is my votable entry since I"m out of town. There's a spot in detroit that looks like that in the winter, it's by one of those oil refinery plant things and the lake water is shallow so people like to ice fish there, though the fish are probably mutated.

45 minutes, I really can't do anything good in less than two or three days >.< so please have mercy on a newb in the forum

Digital Painting - Bronze: 3rd place in a speed painting challenge! - Issue reason: rd place in a speed painting challenge

Hello first for some crits:

Lukanus: Lovely mood, as many has already pointed out. only thing that i could point at is perhaps that the two children's shadows should be longer. But still a really nice piece

defaultalias: really nice textures!

rawwad #1: I like how you rendered it out, gives a hard metallic look to it. good angle too. But perhaps make the lightsource alittle brighter to help with the contrast?

rodriguez: brilliant concept

artecnl: amazing concept and execution. damn hot actually! my fav so far.

crackerlips: great colors. Also like the traditional painterly look you gave it with artrage.

Suirebit: very good industrial city, lots of details in it. but perhaps make the sun shine more out onto the sky ... if you know what i mean

Pehrson: Fantastic perspective. good details and colors/values. one of my favorite entries in the comp.

My entry: photoshop - wacom - 1½ hours. Unfortunately i didn't have time to figure out a better concept . So the "message" in this piece is "pollution kills" .. how original
