EVA training DVDs

I just got my copy of the Eva training DVDs but I'm having problems with the reference images on the planes. When I'm zoomed in its really pixelated and very difficult to use as a reference. I can have it in the viewport background but I only can zoom in so close before Memory usage gets too high. Is there any recomendations on fixing the display on the planes?

Thank you,

DAve

Hello there, Try this :
1. Open max and go to Customize : Preferences on the main menu bar along the top.
2. Select the Viewports tab and then on Configure Driver tab at the very bottom.
3. Now check the two tick boxes " Match Bitmap as Close as Possible" in the Appearance Preferences.
4. Click on OK and then open the max file again.
When you zoom in the image should be of a higher resolution.

Hope this sorts out your problem,
Cheers,
Rich.

can I just ask something here? Does the dvd give a comprehension of how you build the male pectoralis major, or just female breasts?

Thanks

Hi,
to which DVD are you referring? The Eva Wild Series concentrates on the female figure. The 'Human anatomy' is for male character modeling.

well, yeah I was referring to the Eva wild series (since I'm in a thread about it ) but the Freedom of teach one is for maya and not max

but does the instructor give any advice as in how to deal with pectoralis (male)? Or can you, when you watched through the entire dvd, deal with practically any type of bodypart?

Yeah, I go through as much as I can using the anatomical diagram build-up images, where all torso muscles are built over one another giving you information on where the muscles originate and insert onto the limbs etc... I don't see why having worked through this tutorial you should not be able to figure out the building of the Pectoralis Major, nor any other key muscle for that matter. The only problem with the Pectoralis is that its geometry is superceded by the breast geometry, and as Eva is female, her pectoralis major region is very subtle.
