At last... I have time off work again to be able to join in!!! Some excellent comps last few weeks/months - As allways high standards throughout.

Gonna get started on my ruins pic tonight, just thought i dleave a few comments while I was here.

Cartoonera: I can see what you were going for, and i like your use of bold colour, I agree with other comments that some work on more detail would help improve it.

Alletun: I like the atmosphere of this piece, and the effect you have created. For me, the tree/bird spoil the image - I can understand why you added them but I feel the image would have been better without them, maybe just a small rock instead. But your use of colour is really good, helps to create a very nice mood.

Ania: I like the style you have used, and the layers of colour work really well. I think you could have done with adding more ruin elements, missing bricks and decay would have been good.

HA-Jassar: I like the idea of your image though I feel more work could be done on the perspective within the piece. Plus i get the feeling the body of the character is twisted. You get a good feeling that the character is looking down on whats left of a great civilisation.

Tnads - i like your use of colour but try in future to create your own brush for creating grass effects. It aint always easy to do good grass, and get the colours right but I think your image wuld be improved greatly by trying this. I know you only took 25 mins to create - so maybe you just did it for quickness, but I feel it spoils the image.

Now its back to the drawing board - Well Wacom tablet...

Talking

Hi there!

Here are my entries.
I've sketched them all in Photoshop

Some kind of ancient ruins in the middle of nowhere:

5 hours - no ref

Industrial ruins, ambient lit:

1 hour - no ref

I'm not a big fan of this military stuff, but I prefer this one as my final entry.
Some kind of castle ruins with two guys having fun sliding down the rope:

3 hours - ref for the heli shape

Have fun!

Dan

make my scene. I hope not breaking any rules,
unfortunally I couldnīt open the post with
them. Sorry about my bad english and good work
for everybody.
