NARUTO- Zabuza

This Picture was made in 3DSMAX and Photoshop.

I've been working on it for quite some time, then i've stopped and returned to it a few days ago to complete it.

It is based on a Naruto Anime TV Show character called Momochi Zabuza, who's known as "Eyebrowless freak". I've tried to portrait him to closely resemble the one in the anime, but at the same time having a realistic look.

I've chosen one of his most famous poses "Silent Killing" where he is holding is fingers in front of his mouth looking to us, making his opponents tremble in fear as he summuned a water dragon. Also, he is standing above water as it is one of the many abilities Ninja possess.

I'm always looking for good critique to see if i can get better at CG. Hopefully you'll give me some. =)

Cheers.

I unfortunately haven't seen Naruto yet, but I know how hard it is to make anime stuff look real.

One problem that poped into my eye was the fact that the dragon seems to be coming from somewhere far behind him but maintains his length as he comes to the front, might just be the perspective of it all...

All in all it's great, I like it, keep up the good work!

I've gotta say, being the Naruto guru of the country, u've done an amazing job here. Granted what V3nom said about the Suiton Suiryuudan No Jutsu is correct. But aside that gr8 job!

I love it, and if anything, the sword is too small. Really nice Naruto, a'la FF XI

dunno about ichigo(i'd love to make him too, but it's so time consuming), but I have almost complete, Soi Fong from Bleach, which i am going to use as clothsimulation demonstration for my demoreel.

oh Soi Fong is cool too, I realy want to see her. If you ever have spare time work on some other Bleach character, like Ichigo or Zaraki Kenpachi.

Can I ask you how many hours do you spent for designing a character? I know you spent a lot of days and the amount of hours depends on the character and the other settings you use, I am just asking for an estimation in order to understand better how hard it is to do such incredible work.

Also how difficult it is to make an animation since you have completed the characters??

Regards for your awesome work and I am waiting to see Soi Fong.

it really depends. For example, my Kisame Picture, only took 5 days from start to completion. That was really fast. Probably my fastest imagem. And i think it came out really well for the ammount of time spent. But with that one i already had some experience on how to make "naruto characters" (zabuza experiencie). As for Zabuza, well , it took a really awful ammount of time. I'd say like 6 months or more. Mostly because I was not happy with some aspect of it ,and i'd leave in in halt until i had some idea on how to enhance it further(meanwhile i'll work on other characters). I am really slow on making these things i guess, because i spent a awful ammount of time trying to perfect little tiny things, probably wont even be in the final image, thus a waste of time. MY Lucy character from Elfen lied is around since 2004 and it's not yet finished so u can see how long these things take.

Hopefully as i gain more experience, i'll be quicker at least on taking decisions.

Thanks for the comments and keep them coming!

This is how the next generation Naruto game will look like one day... Hehehe~ Nice work! The curved backside of the sword might need more smoothing. It seems a bit edgy~
