My own score "That lonesome journey".
hi..
, sharing my very own musical composition, "That lonesome journey", which has been done in an epic style, carrying a medieval mood. my main concern was to make a composition, having a theaterical ambience, with an orchestral feel. i self-visualised the mood and proceeded in a story telling manner. made in fl studio. no built-in loops or riffs used. pls click on the link below to download: That lonesome journey. http://www.waheednasir.com/Scores/Th...heed_Nasir.mp3 cheers, waheednasir. www.waheednasir.com

the only critic i can come up with is that its lacking a climax, it sounds a bit boring throughout the song...also icant feel that medievel mood you are talking about, but maybe its just me...other than that its good, and better than i could've ever done it...

hi.
many thanks Trex2001, for liking it and for your input. really appreciated...
.i know what u mean and agree. its just that i wanted to have a meloncholy feel thruout and a higher climax didnt suit the requirement, i did make that as well. but i shouldve increased it a bit more i guess. or probably its a matter of personal taste aswell... . thank u for your visit and suggestion... .cheers.

I do see what you mean by a medieval mood, but thats only really portrayed in the bass drum. Gives it an Age Of Empires (PC game) feel.
What type of sounds did you use? Built in samples? Or maybe VST instruments? I'm glad at least, that you didn't use any built in loops, etc ![]() I feel the main melodic instrument would sound really good with a slight bit of echo and maybe a hint of delay. I do like the xylophone style instrument you have doing its little bit in some places. To add to it, I suggest you maybe make a section in the middle with a slightly different tune and drum pattern before going back to finish. Maybe at the end, it should also build up more yeah. But, other than that, its a good song, but it just needs something more to finish it. I'm in the middle of producing my own album, yet, its a long way off, haha. Still, us musicians have to keep plodding along ![]() I've tried FL, but could never completely get the hang of it. I personally use Re-noise, which is a tracker based music maker, based on the old Amiga days of making music for games.

many thanks kage for droping by and for admiring this, plus for your inputs too...
.ive made this in fruity loops, im quite a new user of that software, so still have to explore it. and believe me, only after calling this music finished, i got a few ideas more on it. but now ill work on my next piece. i didnt use any built-in stuff/loops, i did use its built in seperate sounds, like snare, kick, harp etc, but i even made them according to my needs by mixing other stuff with them, all from the same software, like i combined two seperage kicks to make this one. i understand what u mean by having the main tune in a bit of echo and delay, i do agree... .it would be great to hear your stuff, i wish u all the best with that... .thanks again for your time mate...cheers.

No problems
![]() I did actually have my first album track on here to download, yet, the links been deleted since it kept falling due to me not signing in every 30 days. I need a permanent place, but haven't really thought of making my own site and hosting it. When you come up with more stuff. Be sure to post it ![]()
