Yeah, I can solve this for you mate.
1. Open max and go to Customize : Preferences on the main menu bar along the top. 2. Select the Viewports tab and then on Configure Driver tab at the very bottom. 3. You almost certainly have "Use Cached DirectX Meshes" Checked. Un check this and then accept all changes (Click OK whatever). Ta daa! Hope the DVD is going well for you. ![]() |

Damn it!
You're right. FFS! Well, when opening the starter document, you can use the eye dropper tool in the material editor to "pull" the material from the guide box and into the Material editor. Simply drag that material into another slot as a copy. Then, selecting each material id, work through the material diffuse and replace the target map for the corresponding Wire JPGs. And don't forget to rename the root material to "Insert Name_Wires". I'm not sure how that happened. If you browse your cd you'll find a file called Render Arena in the Extras folder. This is where the Photon Bouncer Material is kept, it is simply the material that is applied to the box surrounding the lights and any imported geometry. It looks as though some sort of mix up has happened. Though why anything would have been imported between those two files, I have no idea. ![]() |
