looking nice, but that rubber like conection between leg and foot is not nice....it is too stretched...you could put metal parts and enginerings there....would be better...

How about replacing the rubber bit with some segmented metal sheilding, would fit this char's bulky and powerful look. great progress so far, damn I better hurry up everyones already doing loads on their high-polys.

K im going to keep the rubber so there wont get as much dust and dirt into the mechanics, ball joints are pretty easily damaged by such stuff, even the legs hydralics should not be seen but it looks cool. making a balljoint seems really hard even though it would look neat. I would want to see anyone else do theirs hehe. but yes maybe i should put some plating over the rubber and right now im thinking about that. OK but what really concerns me is how the hands should look like, making a human hand with rubber ontop it does not look good, i tried...
Maybe u guys can help me with ideas for the hand, it needs to be able to move the wrist and hold a gun. any ideas would be welcomed. Here is part of the arm.

Thanks Kalango, wires should be protected so they are inside the armour.
Im gonna add a lot of the smaller details later, right now im gonna get the lowpoly ready to do normal map tests.

hey man. looks good.. i think you could lose a lot of tris in the leg though, and in th face maybe.
there is no need for lots of detail in the low poly mesh. lets start with the joints. try deleting all the faces in the circle, select the border and cap it. you can also loose a few tris near the ankle, as far as i can tell. gl, and if its not clear what i mean, just ask :P

ohh, ominus!! i like the red glow you have going on. as far as i know we can use any map we want just once it conforms to the size issues.
