I want to use a directional light and in the directional parameters set overshoot on, but when i do this all shadows are gone. what do i have to do to solve this problem? because i just want to create some sunlight :S

what i would try to do is control the light with more than just one direct light. a lot of times i'll have quite a few lights to get the overall illumination up and on them exclude shadows from all the objects that i wanta sepcific shadow for and then i'd make a light and exclude illumination of that object and keep only the shadows and tune that light until i gets to be what i like.
i guess its a game of juggling what lights illuminate what and what lights cast shadows and what surfaces accept them. good luck. -k |
