Unhappy Is Joan-Of-Arc Tut (Maya) still available ?

I noticed that Taylor Kingston once wrote the Maya version of a Tutorial called "Joan of Arc". I would like to purchase that pdf online - in 1 piece - as opposed to the multi-piece version that was being sold by 3dcreativemag.com last year.

I found this link, but it seems to be broken.
http://www.3dtotal.com/services/shop/joan_shop.asp

Am I forced to buy all these separate issues from 3dcreativemag now, or is there still somewhere an option to buy the complete Maya version online ? I'm currently not interested in the Max or XSI versions.

Any clues what to do ?

I don't see why you need to look at the Maya version. The origional 3dsMax version should be just fine, and it's free on 3dtotal's site.

Besides, poly modeling is pretty much the same across all the major 3d apps. The only real difference is the terms for the tools... which in most cases are different ways of saying the same thing.

So, what you're basically saying is, that you don't know if 3DTotal still has the Maya version for sale. Thanks.

Is there anyone else on this forum who can answer this for me ?

No I'm saying that there's no reason to pay for the Maya version when the workflow is the same in the Free 3d Studio max tutorial. (here)

All you need to know:
-"weld"= "merge" in maya terms.
- use "split polygon tool" to make the cuts
- to mirror the face, go to "duplicate" option box and change the X value from "0" to "-1". (Set it to "Instance" if you want it auto update the other side.)

There, I just saved you $16 bucks. At least for modeling portion that is, but there are many other resources out there than can cover the rest.
