Quasar - Intron Theory (an XCOM-inspired game)

Quasar - Intron Theory is a recently launched project to create a game inspired by games such as XCOM Enemy Unknown, the rest of the XCOM series, a wide range of other games, and science-fiction.

The story is based on real life events, the main one being the Kerala event (or "Red Rain") which happened in 2001 in India. This is a key feature, which is entwined in the game. In real life, the rain turned blood red for several days. This has been hypothesised to be a kind of alien cell that has fallen to Earth.

From a gameplaying perspective, it is envisaged that the game will play similarly in general to the original XCOM, but there probably will be some deviances.

We need more people to help us realise our goal. Whether you have a feeling you'd be a dab hand at concept sketching, 3D art, or if you can program like there's no tomorrow, we'd like to hear from you. Also the talents of writing and communication can and will be used in the project. If you have an idea that you'd like to share, or want to help, then go to www.quasaronline.org/join.php That's our signup page for the project website.

Hope to see you there,

Quasar Development Team
