Please Help! How to add scaling to Joints for a stretchy limbs?

hi guys,

I was searching the whole www for a tutorial or tips but couldn't find what I need.

I built a stretchy arm-rig like it's explained in the tutorial of rigging101 (http://student.vfs.com/~m07goosh/rig...xpressions.htm)

The rig is nice but what I'm missing is scaling on the joints... What I have is a cartoony hand with 2 seperate objects for upperarm and lowerarm. And because the joints are just moving and not scaling in that rig, the geometry doesn't deform with the stretch of the rig.

I added a maya scene of the stuff I did to make it more clear.

If anyone has a nice tutorial and/or tips how I can change that, please give me a shout. I really want to use the approach from rigging101 for stretchy limbs because it's working without any fancy plugins and so it's working in every version of maya.

thanks a lot!!!
