Itzik the Alien

Heres a character model I've been playing with for some time, eventually i will use him in a short. Im still not sure if i want to change his porpotions to make him toonier(ie: make him short with a big head)

Let me know what you think!

Hey, nice character. I think its 'toon' enough just like that. Only the boots are what I dont like. Maybe something flatter or more futuristic would be fine. Now they resemble too much of a clowns' foot gear.
btw, is this character a boy or a girl? Can really tell... That stripe at the chest distracts wheter there are breasts or not.... and the back of the head looks like a womens hair cut to me, so thats why Im not sure if its he or she
Anyway, nice work. I'd like to see more of this kind of toon-characters here.

I think its a girl, cuz of the tiny waist, the pose, and the "make your own damn sandwhich" look on the face.

Actually the boots were meant to be clownish, as he is meant to be a clownish character.

Update

Hey all,

I did some tweeking, but I am slowly convincing myself to do a full remodel of the character.

I shortened the body and increased the size of his head. I added some detail to the face.

his neck is a bit too thin and his eyelids appear to be really thick.

To be honest, with some finer details in the texture work, the original images could have been just about perfect. The new version doesn't have the same comical cartoon feel to it, but more semi-realism that doesn't quite fit with your previous comments.

new renders

mental ray is fun, tho i still havent figured out how much reflection i want on his armor. His eyes are far too bright as well.

lol, nice character, try if you can a bit more on the texture and it will look great.

itzik walk cycle

Itzik 3.0's first walk cycle.

Its pretty robotic right now, but I think itll be a nice base animation that I can add character to.

All he needs now are a couple of paint cans and "Staying Alive" playing in the background and were good to go. Very cool, forward to seeing the new Itzik come to life.
