Toy Bug Explorer

Hello

This is the second time I'm posting my work on this forum. I haven't had any time to do any personal 3d work recently so in the meantime I decided to post these images in order to get opinions on them and participate. It's a little boring being a spectator all the time. I worked on these images for a class assignment in Softimage XSI about a year ago and I know I'm not going to be doing anymore work on it. So please view these images and let me know what you think of them. It's basically a toy bug exploring different parts of my room. All constructive criticism and suggestions you have will surely help me on future projects. Images 2 and 4 are completely 3D. Images 1 and 3 were composited on top of a photograph. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my thread.

i think there's something wrong with the lighting on the bug compared to the rest of the room. Maybe the specular spots are too big or intense.

that big red looks out of proportion, the sticks are longer than that!

Thanks for responding but I'm not sure I understand what you mean. It's a plastic toy bug. I was trying to make it look plastic. Which images do they look out of place in?

Torlok2002:

Thanks for responding also but those aren't big red sticks coming out of the package. Those are the little white wrappers that go around the sticks. All the sticks were already taken out and chewed up. I guess I'll have to work on making that clearer if I ever do this again in the future.
