Wanderer, pic looks good but its too much of the picture left for a matte painting. Usually the base pic remains just as a reference point. Here you have just about 20% compositing and mostly the image remains the original; But none the less, its a good try, the colors and values match. Personally I would like to see some digital painting involved and not just photo manipulation. Post some more of your work.

In given work I all tried to create the photorealistic scene.
But agree that here more matte and compositing - than painting.

On the other hand - a work is executed qualitative and on good level.

And if possible, say me - that "matte painting" is?

I always considered that this process of the creation photorealistic (or other quality) scene (pictures), with useing photo - , draw -, 3D - and other resources.

Moreover not it is important in what proportion you this packs.

Important only result.

Rather then that either as what facility it is reached.

It is true that you can achieve small, easy task by compositing two pictures to achieve a new image (at least partly new) but Matte painting, well, thats another story. Matte painting creates entirely new images from just a scrap of photo (from which "matte") and a lot of "painting". Shortly translated, Matte painting means "painting over photo". I can't give much example, maybe some of some matte painting I tried for my project's site aldo far from professional; Its a translation from my digital painting image to a matte painting which has some parts photo and some parts painting. The images being these:

I do advise you for better understanding of matte painting and what can you achieve with it to visit Dusso's site or make a visit to gnomonworkshop's site and see what it has to offer on that domain.
