Guys it's not me to judge but I think 'God of war' and 'Day of tentacle' won't count...
![]() Acc to Wiki: God of War is a video game for the Sony PlayStation 2 console released on March 22, 2005. An action-adventure game loosely based on Greek mythology, God of War was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment's Santa Monica division. Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle (DoTT) is a graphical adventure game, originally released in 1993, and published by LucasArts. It is the eighth game to use the SCUMM engine. Adamos - speechless You were using VRay displacement?Coś wspaniałego Gratulacje ![]() ------------------- And time for next entry. Again Final Fantasy and again part IX. About 100 minutes on Lightwave and a lot of time with light and textures. But I don't like the final effect ![]() ![]() Reference Last edited by misiopuchatek; 02-05-2007 at 09:33 PM.. here's my entry, fallout again, a scene from the nucelar reactor in gecko
hope you like it. modeling time was the full 120minutes and i'm still far from beeing finished, because of the massive amount of work i've got to do i'll have no time for texturing it... lighting was done with a simple untweaked skylight, the scene was modeled in 3ds max 8 i'll come back a bit later to give some comments on the other posts, but great work as far i've seen already ![]() my work: ![]() reference: http://s118.photobucket.com/albums/o...llout2-002.jpg lg manni Last edited by Manni; 02-05-2007 at 10:00 AM.. |

misiopuchatek - Stunning entry, love the modelling and you've actually not only managed to match the lighting and texturing of your reference picture, but you've also made it look better!! beautiful modelling and excellent texturing
![]() Manni - amazing entry the modelling is very very good indeed! I really love the look of this just shaded, this would look amazing textured, but I really like it in the clay render style. Kind Regards Classic Gamer

Texturing whole Sunday As usual a lot of prerenders.Rendering about 37m47s ![]() Reference And details of hand and machine. Enjoy ![]() P.S. Marty I think it's the best challenge ever!! It gave me a lot of fun. How did You know that I love RPG games?! ![]() Thank You for this great two weeks ![]() Last edited by misiopuchatek; 02-05-2007 at 09:32 PM.. Reason: Image reupload |

adamos: Beautiful texturing, very clean model and a beautiful post !
ClassicGamer: Shady isnt it ?? hahah.. Thanks so much for your kind comments !!! Looking forward to texturing it when I come around to it. Cheers !! mr_lemon: B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L entry on Page 3 ! Surely adds to the competition .So glad you liked the G.O.W scene i tried ! thought it would count with half the websites claiming 'God of War' to be an 'RPG' and half stating otherwise..i really did like the scene i ended up with, no harm done... Perhaps, i need to be more careful . Thanks again !! misiopuchatek: Really loved your last entry, neatly textured and a better scene than the original. I really had a ****** good time modelling Kretos's battle field ( every inch he treads actually ). Well..seems that doesnt count as an entry for this challenge and I really wont find time for another, but i do intend to finish up the texturing and light em up, shame to waste the time put in on it. ebubba: Very clean and if the floor is done intentionaly ( which i think is ), Nice touch ! Manni: Untextured but Undoubtedly a fab choice and being this the first work ive seen of you, Wonderful indeed ! Diabolos: Hope you send in an entry or two on this one !!! Loads of Blooooody games out there man !! In my defence .. here's what prompted me to model my scene out...Role-playing Game (RPG): A type of conflict simulation in which the player does not command two or more "units." Instead the player controls only one "unit" or "character" which has more detailed characteristics than units in multi-unit games. The players often play their character against an assortment of enemies and obstacles controlled by a nonplaying "gamesmaster." The most popular role-playing games are based on fantasy backgrounds, although since RPGs were developed in the mid-1970s, there have been several published that deal with strictly military subjects. http://www.hyw.com/Books/WargamesHandbook/2-c-term.htm http://www.allrpg.com/games/godofwar...e=review&num=1 As Marty_McFly-3dt stated earlier that he could let Zelda 2 to slide in since it posesses RPG style elements... I truly hope this would suffice to convince him into letting this slide in also.

!!! (you're on-fire man )BTW...LESTAT i'm with you for the "GOD OF WAR is an RPG?" issue...i think you've also well motivated the whole thing so...but,we have to let the judging to the judges, just wait and be positive anyway ![]() Spec: Done in maya in 120 min. and rendered with mental ray,no postwork, all the texture are handpainted directly in maya viewport with artisan tools. Another entry from a game that i'm enjoyng really much:shin megami tensei: Digital Devil Saga2... Let me konw ![]() ]--------- ENTRY 2 --------------[/url]and reference ![]()

mr_lemon - Thanks for you comments, lol
but i've not done nearly as many entries as I'd like to have done, mainly because of the other entries i've created they haven't really turned out quite as well as I wanted them to, and at the moment don't want to upload them as entries, I may change my mind but at the moment I hate the look of them. the modelling and the texturing. You entry though is absolutely incredible, you've actually improved the scene from the reference image supplied. I love the modelling and the texturing you've created with the artisan tools has really really paid off very well. Beautiful lighting too, stunning work! I've not tried maya, but If you can create things like this, it's worth investigating. So I might submit some more entries, but I've not found many scenes i'd like to model at the moment. Kind Regards Classic Gamer

My entry
It's been a long time from my last entry because of school and few other things but here's one from fallout 2, alltough it seems this will be done to death on this thread, no wonder though, maybe the best game I ever have played.

antto - Very nice entry, great modelling and well modelled too, looking really good, from what i've seen of Fallout 2 it looks like the kind of game i'd enjoy!
At the moment i've just got my hands on Broken Sword 3 - The Sleeping Dragon, it's a fairly old game by todays standards, but i'm so so addicted to this game, I love the look of it too, the previous 2 broken sword games were the typical point and click prodominantly 2D games, they had a few 3D elements but mostly it was breathtaking 2D digital painting and highly addictive, clever puzzled game. And the new version enter into the 3D world and it's jaw droppingly beautiful too, it's not got the polish of games like halo or call of duty, but it's still brilliant. I'm currently 3/4 through the game and playing it at any chance I get. I wanna get the 4th addition of the Revolution Broken Sword games when I can too. I've seen loads in the game i'd love to model, shame broken sword isn't a RPG, although you do take the Role of George Stobbart and his Ex-Girlfriend Nico Collard, i'm about 80% sure it's not an RPG, more of a adventure/puzzle genre. Anyway, love the entries, pity there isn't much more, the entries seem to be slowing down a little. But we've still got till tommorow night at 10pm to get entries in, i'm sure they'll be some more soon. That's enough of my waffling now ![]() Hmmmm back to broken sword me thinks.................... Kind Regards Classic Gamer

Hey everyone... I didn't get the memo... but apparently the [IMG] tags have been turned on for our neck of the woods. A few of you have already taken advantage of it, and I'd like it if every one else would begin using them. I'll make an adjustment in the rules of the next challenge.
Thanks, Marty
