The Visitor
Not quite as friendly as E.T...
Finished this one today! 97% metaballs & 3% booleans. Just made some color corrections in PSP, & some reflections in Universe Image Creator. Comments are always welcome! ![]() Last edited by Rochr; 28-11-2003 at 12:10 PM.. |

Incredible as always. I use Bryce as well, but when i see your images I just feel like throwing my computer away and go hiding under a rock or something
And you did this with METABALLS??!? How long did it take? Would you mind sharing the wireframe (I've not been able to make anything with metaballs, but when i see what is possible I might give it another go).IDownUPI - A program is only as good as the guy using it--Rochr is a Bryce master...

Outstanding! METABALLS?!?!?
Impressive work! Especially considering it was done mostly with metaballs. I'm VERY interested to see a wireframe if Bryce can export one! Perhaps even just a screenshot? -Bischofftep P.S. Blender supports metaballs, though I am not sure it has the fine control over them to handle something like this. |

Thanx for your comments guys!
Jared is right. Lightwave have metaballs as well. I couldnīt get this shape with booleans (too sharp edges), so i had to work with metaballs for this guy! Character design is not my strong side, but iīm quite satisfied with it after all. The modeling took me about a day! Torlok2002, metaballs interact with each other. This example shows two positive ones, and one positive + one negative. |

Hmm...if it should come to that, King sounds a lot better...!
![]() But seriously, if i knew how to use a modeling app, i would probably not play with balls. I have so many ideas, but canīt create them, so sooner or later, iīll have to learn. Love the atmospheres Bryce can create though, so i wouldnīt leave the app alone even if i got another one. ![]() |

Well, iīve tried Lightwave a couple of years ago, but never got "hooked" until i got Bryce. Probably because it was easier to use.
Also tested out C4D some time ago, and thatīs an app i want to work more with. But considering the time it has taken me to learn to work with Bryce properly, itīs probably going to take a year or two, before i post something iīm satisfied with. |
