Nice design SUNCHIRP, very cute.

Here's my concept so far...don't really know whether to do a pure portrait style or something with an environment.

Hey Koek, thats a crazy cool concept you got there! I'd go with that, and worrie about the environment/background later since its about the snail and not its environment

Thanks guys for the nice comments, I'm doing the UVs as we speack, nothing really to show there, so as soon as I got some textures on there, I'll post an update!

Cheers and awsome work everyone!
Jonny

Worked a while on a snail.

Koek, your concept is great. I like the colors. Maybe you can lose cigaret, he is cool enough even without it. And it's so overused

I've done some more sculpting to this guy... I think he looks better ( though still with no textures )

Snail HotRod

Hi All,

Some cool concepts going on in here again - great job everyone. Looking forward to watching these evolve.....

So here is my concept - a quick 10 minute sketch while out at lunch, maybe be hard to see what it is, but it's clear in my mind's eye, and I'll be starting on the weekend, just wanted to post this before heading off to the slave pits...

D,

An update from me too. Finally theres a reason why this snail is so happy - instead of having only one house - the one on his back, he has now two of them
Anyway I hope I`m not breaking any rules doing not only the snail, but having some other parts to make this look more like a scene.

and here's how it looks so far all together:

Thanks SUNCHIRP, i'll change the cigarette to a larger size cigar and give him the typical gangster stripe suit. I think i'll leave the eyes the way they are though, i prefer them to the sides, but I will take your tip into account to make both eyes visible.

I drew some references of the snail size, both front and side pics, time to start modeling now!
