Anatomy: male hand study

This is the final model of some male hands I was working on over the past few weeks. Really just trying to get a fuller understanding of all the creases, proportions and edges so I can start modeling more realistic ones. Later on I'll make a texturing project out of it, this is more of a modeling exercise.

I think on the next set, I'm going to ditch doing the wrinkles on the knuckles, and tone down the creases... I think they're poly hogs that could have been easily achived with bump maps..

So here is a couple of views of the final deal. Next I'm going to try and make a leaner, more feminine version and also try and reduce the edge count of possible.

those look pretty good

my only suggestions would be to make them a bit thicker and add a bit more bumpiness and detail to the top of the hand

good job!

(studying my own hand)i thing the knuckles should stick out more as well as the tendons coming from the knuckles. and the bone on the wrist should be bigger.

but like i said, thats is my hand

Wooooow. That's some determination youz got there. Hey since you spent all that time on them you wanna write a tutorial on them? Not a step by step, of course. But just one to show the concepts you learned. Just for meeeeeee!
Well, whatever. Great model man, keep it up!
