I would add some Japanese glass fishing floats hanging somewhere. That would give you some interest to the ceiling and the chance to play with the glass material and caustics.
My more surreal idea is to put a goldfish swimming in the hanging fishing ball.

BTW, I think your scene is going to be awesome. Everything looks really cool so far

Haha, I have to say, this is amazing. I made such a thing for my girlfriend about a year ago. I didn't knew they existed. You don't have them over here. I Took a Jar , in which you usually put candy. But i put it in a small fishing net and connected a Rusty Ring on the top so it could hang on the ceiling. Inside the jar i put some Blue Pebbles and then i ordered some Glowing light that work on cel battery's so it would glow in the dark. So Its just so cool that you ask me to use such an object. It ideas from all people stay inside my own style thoughts and such. Amazing

I Have Some pictures of the lamp i took back than. You Have to see this.
Thanks M8

This is a Homemade object.

Cool! That's really neat and great that you have a personal connection to such an object. My Grandparents used to have these hanging in their windows and I always remembered them. I never knew what they were until I googled "glass ball in netting" last night to get you the picture. Apparently they are used in Japan as fishing floats.
So are you going to add some in your scene?

Perhaps i Will, if my scene can hold such detail, cause i was already struggling with memory problems cause of all the high resolution texture , displacement mappings etc. But its a good thing to try. Ill first focus on the windows and the tv and fish i quess. I Have to research a little bit what lamps where usually used inside such ships. Thanks for comments, always

I Wanted to Create some more creative and exclusive lightin. This way it gives the scene a little more Indoor feeling, so your focus isn't going outside and it lets me do some cool stuff with the volumetric light. I Like this view. Hope y'all like it too.Not a big update, but im still working on some stuff. Displacement for the floor and simulating the net. But the real simulation isn't as good for the eye as the version i made with ffd box and Hand placement. Here is the update

hmmm certainly more dramatic, i'm guessing that this lighting enhances your ripped cloth more aswell, which gives the mood of the scene a new twist and dimension.

Looking very good. How are you're render times coming along? do you think that you'll be able to attain a healthy mix of artwork and reasonably standard render times, without having the scene suffer by limiting the geometry at all?

Mind you you're hardware spec is one of the best spec's i've seen for a PC so surely you'll have more than enough to render this scene, it's probably more the case that it'll still take quite a while to render. I'm guessing my system could probably just about render this scene, but it would take approx 6-7 hours at a guess lol

Really nice scene though, keep it up

well thanks for comments. I think im going to make a mix of this cloth and the Other moving cloth from the other scene, which was more dramatic and i also liked that. Im Sorry that im not updating alot with new objects, but that is because i didn't find the right things yet. I wanted to make an old tv, but i don't know which one i could use. The tv i wanted to photograph the first time is an old tv, but its only like 8 to 9 years old. So kinda modern. But i think it works with the scene. Im gonna play a little bit with it.

The rendering times of the whole seen is about an Hour. at 2300x1600.

My Brother is also getting married this week so i have a little less time then i hoped for the scene. The progress is going a little bit slower, but this is also because i am trying things out that are already in there to enhance the scene and try to delete displacement from objects that don't need it and i hope i can fix it.

What i noticed is that when i took away the wip model of the tv from the scene. It got a little bit to empty, so the next time i will input the Tv i thought was good for the scene. But i have to think really good about what to do with it, because i think this object has to do what The chair did for the sunflower fountain. I hope it will work out...thanks for watching everybody

and comments always welcome

loving this project again.

awesome texturing like you previous projects, i don't post a lot but i always follow your projects anyway.

the thing i really love on your work is your lighting, i interest myself in lighting a lot, but i can never get it as good as you get it, any tips you can maybe give ?, if not, no problem, i will just have to try a bit harder on my own then, i am determined to get it down one day.

There is still alot of work that has to been done. Its not all perfect by far,and it doesn't have to be, but i hope i can keep everyone as satisfied as they want to be when watching. Looking good. You know, I forgot your original concept so I went back and read the first page. Are you still planning to make the man coming out of the TV? Sorry if I missed the answer somewhere in the 11 pages
For some reason, I had it in my head that there would be water and fish flooding out of the TV screen- I don't know where I got that idea, but it looks cool (in my mind!) Just thought I'd mention it.
Always enjoy watching your projects.

I know the idea was very great, but the thing is. Somewhere along page 8 or 9 i think i started getting alot of problems with my scene with memory problems etc. So im currently trying to get something different in the scene, because i don't think i can make that work. The water animation would also get alot of memory and besides that, i heared from alot of people from my own circles that they would think it would be too much. I Know, the idea is amazing, but i think im going to make such organic forms when i get a computer with 4gb of ram. Thanks for comments, hope you not to mad at me for changing the idea.

Hi All. I thought alot about the scene, and i know what my alternative for the person coming from the television was. But im just going to try to make the person and see if my scene can render it. Its about 2 years ago since i tried to model a full human body, but my technique is a little bit further, especially with texturing. So i am going to follow some lessons about character modeling and i am going to try to fix this. Today i had the photoshoot with my girlfriend who did the texture photography. I Stood their on the carpet in my underwear with my hands spread and she took 100+ photo's it hink off my body, so i think i have all the texture reference i need for a body. Also made some cloth texture photography. I Think the next update of this scene won't be coming very soon, but you all have to know that i am working on the human character. Just to know if i can't make it happen. Cross my heart and hope that it works .

greetings and thanks all for following

Well...you could try to assemble the scene in layers (as seperate files) to limit the impact of the more intensive elements on other parts of the scene (caustics and indirect illumination for example). That would give you a bit more freedom in your final scene composition. It would also reduce the total ram consumed by your very large and detailed texture maps.

Course...the trade off is that it would be a serious pain in the rear end to keep everything organized.
