I meant no offence. But you finished 2 soon.
Your entry is good, but you could have spent 45 min. more on it +
And you have 2 list your softwares used.

Great entry, looks very cool. You said such a short time an Hour and a Half is a pretty good amount time I think. If I had Zbrush and knew how to use it, i'd imagine I could get something as cool as yours modelled

Kind Regards

Thanks ClassicGamer, for your kind comments. Frankly, i don't know ZBrush all that much but i have worked on it for a while to give some modest outputs. Your model is awesome!!!

I Finally got to play with Z Brush 3 (NOT AN ENTRY)

Cool wintermute, glad I could help. I've been working on making soundwave, I hope to have the entry rendered out and composited before tonight. Pretty busy today though.

drained spirit - i've got a mate who's just got Zbrush 3, i've had a little play around with it, looking into Z spheres and such, but it seems to be easier to create a low poly head in C4D and export it to an OBJ base, and then import it into ZB3, I created a low poly head in C4D, saved it onto my usb flash drive, went round to my mate's house, downloaded the model from my flash drive and imported the mesh into ZB3, and I started sculpting straight away, I mainly used the tweak/smooth tools and a couple of brushes, it's amazing, and the mesh subdivisons are just crazy, i'd saved one mesh out at a sub d of 6 and you couldn't even see the polys it was a pure white mesh. So then I re-saved it as a sub division of 2 and it looked great. But unfortunately i've only got the high poly mesh saved, the flash drive didn't like one of the files. I'd created Thundercat's panthro mainly because my way of thinking was to create a head that didn't have hair. it took me 6 hours on the first day to get the face sorted out, then I stayed over at my mate's the next night and completed the head in 9 hours while he was asleep lol. Below is what I managed to get in a total of 15 hours. I found it natural just like when I used to create things like this in clay at art college. I was using a mini tablet and pen too, which makes it much much easier than a mouse!

I just thought i'd share that one with you. One day when I win the lotery i'll buy ZBrush 3, I loved it.

Kind Regards

Classic Gamer

Classicgamer: For a moment I thought that was an enty. *Gasp* That's quite good. I can't tell anything about your edgeloops, but the model looks great.

drainedspirit: Cool. Kind of wierd, but cool all the same.

wintermute: Thanks for the comment. I didn't recognize you with a new name ... which one are you?

I must be missing something

but are the challenges still on hold ?

Deadline for the mini bust has come and gone. . . . . no new challenge is
up so I'm assuming they are still on hold.

Official word is ?

I'd like to know myself... Still waiting on Tom to finalize a few things... but he's been very busy lately as well. I could close this challenge... or leave it open for some more entries... I guess I'll leave it up to you guys...
