Arrow Pastry

Here we go.. I got this idea from a party and I think it came quite well.. Done by 3dsmax, Vray and Photoshop.. There is something I want to improve if you guys notice it, I hope not because its hard to fix

What do you think?

looks good.I like the fact that you added noise to the plate,it makes it look more realistic with the reflections. That`s a mistake a lot of people make, they dont realize that default geometry is mathimatically perfect, and has no subtle defects for realism. The only thing I dont like is the glass...the quality of it dosent match the scene.
I think to the wood texture is a little bit too low res for that extreme of a closeup.

brentagain you are right about the glass and the wood. I tried to hide those problems with DOF efect which I would done anyway. The HDRI map some how messes the glass but its just perfect in other ways so I keep it. And for the wood, there isnt anywhere good wood maps, thats just the best for what I have found.

Bubbaloo print it and eat it

Heres the wire.

yes your right, there`s only a very few good texture sites.
I think that`s why now a lot of people use their digicams and make their own.
I wanted to mention also about the dark chocolate streaks...I think the spoon would actually break it`s way through them instead of cutting it`s way through..just to add that extra realism...but I agree...it looks good enough to eat

looks really darn tasty. just one thing that detracts from the realism of the whole scene. it looks to be some kind of chocolate covered contraption, correct?

chocolate tends to break when you put a spoon in. if its not chocolate, it could still use some entry wound, if you will.

other than that and the pointers given, i think its brilliant.

Damet its hard to please you guys Well, you found that, the entry wound. Thats what I have been trouble with.. I think its impossible to model so tryed to photoshop it. Its there but its not so apparent. Mayby I still have to prove it

Thanks for your C&C

That look nice !
but if you want a good texture why don't you just download wood workshop? (try googling it). you can easily make a high res wood texture with it.

Wood workshop sucks. The textures it makes only looks like wood from far away. Not good for close-ups.
