Sorry but i forgot wich way it was to get the real count
. Well after selecting all edges i hit visible under surface properties.I`m a 3ds Max user Girl: 2416 if i select all faces ![]() : 7248 with edges ![]() So i think the polycount is 7248 which mabey is to high. Btw when does it get to high-poly. //JIMI |

that really is too high poly for that shape. I bet u could optimise it. And it gets too high poly when u try to run it with a game and it crashes cuz it cant take it. and u could run that model easily in say like Quake 3...so U aint that bad

Ok heres how you get the real poly count. Select your things you want to know the polycount of->go to the utilization tab (the hamer icon next to modify, create, motion etc.)->select More->Select Poly Counter. Also if your character is 1 mesh you can also press '7' to get the polycount in yellow in your view port.
Note that for an exurate polycount you have to have an editable mesh and not an editable poly. Now the comments ![]() Their both well build and good meshes, only the back of the womans head looks somewhat flat, I can't really see well from that angle. And make a opacity map for her hair. |

Looks pretty good, but I suggest working a bit more on the hair of the first model. That horizontal repeating highlight thing looks weird.

I have optimized the girl so now hear polycount is 1986 tris.
And the other one is 2202 tris. I used X5`s method to get my count. About the girls hair, i will work with it, i`m not so happy with it my self. Here is some wireframe pics. |
