Total textures version 6
Hi everyone, I have a slight problem with version six of the Total Textures series. When I'm in the material editor in 3ds max and want tp upload a texture I always get a message about an IRF or ILF file. For instance when I upload tile_wall_001.jpg it always says find path tile_wall_001.ilf and the texture I want never uploads. So hopefully someone can help me. Thank You.

Have you copied the textures to your hard drive or are you running them from the disc? If you are running them from the disc then thiswill cause path problems.
I'm not sure if you have a bug in Max as we have never heard of this before. I will ask Rich, our residetn max expert if he can shed any light on the subject. |

I have not come across this particular problem before but copying the textures onto your hard drive would be a good start if you haven't yet done so. Other than that it should be a case of browsing in the material editor to the relevant file.
It almost sounds as if max is looking for the texture in the wrong place - Configuring the paths under Customize on the menu may help. |

Thank you for the reply. I found that it only causes a problem when I use my school computer but at home it works just fine. Anyway thanks again for the help.
