I need an opinion
ok, her is something ive was messing around with yesterday, and my question is, should the character be shaded smoothly or more cell shaded... i stink at both, but im unsure which one would look better
the shading on the skin is not finished its just to give you an idea and well the whole peace isnt finished, but you can see that ![]() |

I think that the left arm is too long. Both cel and soft are good if u use it clean a correctly. Chech out the Scottie Young artwork at http://www.ledheavy.com/

well.. you would have a highlight of green from the light saber right? sooo.. I know this isn't much help but I'm sure it will look cool however you do it.. hell do it both ways.. cell and soft shading..

Well, my vote goes to smooth but only for pesronal preferences.
I really dig what you did with the sabre, it has a cartoon quality to it thatīs really cool

spanx all for the replies, thanx for the link RBL, dang got kinda jealous tho
ill se what im going to do, im sorry to say that i very seldom finish anything that takes more than a day or a few hours to do...but ill se if i can get back into the mood! maybe in a few days if i havent started anything else, ill add a green light and fix the shadows up a bit, also clean the lines up, they are way to heavy in some parts and it doesnt look too good... we'll see how it goes ![]() |

I think cell-shading - I've never seen any Star Wars cell-shading.

Nice Jedi Geeza. Personally I've never been very enthused by the barred shading that you get from cell shaders. Keep it smooth, I think it'll suit the image better too... and its easier to do.
