Yeah mate, looks good so far. Be careful of that forehead geometry though you may have a ridge starting to form there. Otherwise, the nose is looking bang on to the concept.
Keep it coming! |

gfx.KhronoS - Thanks
![]() MonteCristo-3DT - Thanks. I was trying to correct that nose with soft selection and I think that now it's looking much better ![]() At this time I've almost finished making the face, but I have a big problem with mouth, and that's why she's looking a bit like a fish :/. Without Turbo Smooth: ![]() Turbo Smooth: ![]() To be continued... ![]() Last edited by Malarz; 18-07-2007 at 12:26 PM.. |

Be careful not to rush yourself. You will only dig yourself in deeper if you do not smooth out your geometry before adding more connections. The mouth is not following the guide right now, and you have a really defined ridge running up the center of her head. Try to even those edge loops next to the center ones so that the forehead is smooth.

Take care about the lips.. looks a little bit flat and have some harsh edges....

MonteCristo-3DT - Thanks for the tips. I hope that is looking better now
.gfx.KhronoS - Yeah that's right . I will come back to that lips at the next update.Just a small update now, beacause I need to know that is quite correct at this stage to not make more bugs on the wireframe later. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Malarz; 23-07-2007 at 03:54 PM.. |

your technique up to this point looks really good. But similar to what MonteCristo-3DT said, you might want to take in those center vertexes. You have that line going through the center of the character's face. I know it might be difficult to see in you low-poly edge-faced view, but it really stands out when sub-surfaced and/or smoothed.
But once again, you're still working on it and it does look good thus far.

Hmm i think that there are too many polys (for a beginner (not only for a beginner but firstly i would make a low poly mesh then cut the edgeloops in it) it would be better with less) but it looks good
![]() Sorry if i am talking crap but i didn't see the eva tutorial.
