Post Downtown LA

Hi guys,

This is my first post here... I created this image for my portfolio.

Learned a lot while doing this project and overcame various problems. Modeling was done in Maya and ZBrush. Some textures were hand painted and rest were created using reference images in photoshop. Lighting setup was simple - one directional light and one IBL with FG on. Rendered in Mental Ray.

Critics and Comments are welcome.

Thanks,
Preeti

Looks good, the sidewalk texture looks a little garbled, but that should be an easy enough fix. Nice work

In my opinion, the scene is too dark. Even if you did want the illumination contrast to be really strong here, I think it´s exagerated. Maybe some levels adjustment would do some good to this image.
Good work, tho.

Like Strattus said, either lessen the shadow density or add more bounces of light via GI.
