what do you do to get that creative edge!
Being that we are all artist sometime when we are about to starte a project we might not have the creative juices going. So my quiestion is what to you do to get that creative brain going.
as for me i like to hear music: mostly Linkin Park. so what do you do? |

Listening to music and letting your mind wander off really helps. Most of the time you'll come up with nothing, but every once in a while, there comes along a perfect idea for a script/model/scene.
That's what it's like for me.

Hypnagogia anyone? scared the sh** out of me the first time, and it's not fun. but you learn to get used to it (lucid dreams are kinda cool). it's worse when you wake up from a nightmare though. i started to think i was going insane until someone told me what it was. now i just think i'm mildly crazy
i listen to a lot of IDM/Acid music aswell. Autechre, Squarepusher, Venitian Snares. anything loud and noisy, as long as it has a mellow track in the background to focus on. warp records has some awesome artist. |

Idk I haven't really done anything creative for a while. I am in one of those slumps of uninspiration. Nothing seems to be helping. I play Video games, watch movies, listen to music... nothing seems to be working lately. I have been this way for about 2 months.

It's really not fun but only boring and tiring sometimes.
But what I believe is, we gain experience through practical exercises. |

lie down and go through ideas, chuck them in the back of my mind and make another idea, keep going till i go crazy, jump up and have to do one of them

and there´s always LSD...
.. well... if you want to be on the legal side of things... you can listen to Hendrix.. Clap your Hands and Say yeah... Silent Rivers, Smiths, Jazz, Blues or Cuban music... other things won´t work :P |
