modeling seems to me,well done, but the material is ugly.
You have used one of the shaders/textures of the standard libary,
creat a shellac, not texture,or paint a skin in PS for example.

Also the textures are streched on some parts and the back texture, has a bump-map,
why the hack a bump on a motor-bike????

try to improve your render, with help of some tuts, wich you can find with google.

Question

Modeling and texturing is very organic, uv is not properly done, hence the stretched uv´s.

Organic modeling of a bike like this, could be in a cartoon fantasy scene, but I dont understand your approach here.

I would like to see a CAD-like modeled bike, nurbs or look-alike.

Impossible to model a bike this way, and later just smooth everything out, no detail, just lots of misplaced polys.

Iam not gonna say anything about using Metal industrial floor textures where other bikes using composited plastic.

Cheers

I disagree. I have seen plenty of your models and everyone of them you seem to try and make everything out of one object and then meshsmooth it.
You need to try and break the bike down into more than just 10 pieces and model all of them seperately.

Peter you must understand that if someone takes the time to give you a few pointers and tip, be greatful. Dont try to cover up your mistakes. Dont try to explain why it looks like a bad "mesh" model, when you did what it´s humanly possible.

No you didnt. This is a poor model from a hasted design. Nobody would like to see the result from a wind tunnel test huh....So it´s not just the model and texture, it´s the design itself.

Conclusion. It´s not a good mesh modeled from a bad design, with poor uv´s and bad textures. The environment, "plane and a camera mapped background" is not up to standard either.
Like bubbaloo said, (The clouds touch the horizon?)

Listen, try to understand. If not. Re-do your homework "Rtfm".
I didnt have to spend this time trying to help you out, I could just say, sorry I didnt know. You are my new hero, everything is perfect

Best wishes

I'm sorry, but have to totally agree with djmj.

You have to learn a lot of thing to create very nice models. Keep it up. Try to create more and more cars, bikes, characters, what ever you want. You need to practice and later on it will be very good!

Yeah, keep working on new models, and you will get better, trust me
Work less organically, but I'll actually give you a tip, since I'm terrible at organic modelling.

Make a base mesh (with each part seperate if possible), and then chamfer, and mesh smooth until it looks right, and then if possible, join them up after by making cuts for each bit.

But always make sure you keep making sure the mesh works with mesh smooth applied, which can sometimes mean having mesh smooth on while working.

I wish you the best
