Unhappy Please help! Joan needs eyebrows and lashes!!

Hi Everyone
Im just startin with 3d modeling (Started about 2 months ago) so please go easy. I am trying to do the joan of arc tutorial and i found the modeling to be ok but i did get stuck here and there but now that iv come to tweaking the model and adding detail such as eyebrows im stuck! Any Suggestions on how to do the eye brows and eye lashes? Also im not happy with the hair on my model but i have no plugins any suggestions on improving the hair would be appriciated. Any other comments on how i could improve the model would also be appreciated.
ps. i do intend on adding nostriles

i had a go at doing the lashes with lines but im still not happy with the results any advice would be appreciated. Also whats the best way to texture the skin with a jpg or a procedural texture?

well if i were doing this i'd probably first evaluate the shot i'm going for, ie how much of a close up. if its not a super close shot i'd probably use texture for both the eyelashes and eye brows and bump maps on the eye brows so they look like they are kinda sticking out of the head

if its a very close shot i'd probably say go with geometry or some sort of hair generator
