Help!
I am new to computer graphics in general and was wondering what the best way to get advice and info in general would be for cg stuff. Should I just stick to using forums and tutorials or are there some magazines that would be good to get (in the UK). Before recomending magazines can you take into account that I use Photoshop 6 and will soon use 3ds max.
Thanks for any help!

Well yes, you could get magazines. I can't help you much in that area, since I am in New Zealand, but the Renderosity magazine looks to me like a good one.
But if you want real help, the Forums are the best. You can't ask a magazine a specific question and have it reply in less than a day. Tutorial are good as well, especially from the internet, because you can usually contact the author and you can be sure that you will most likely find what you're looking for.

i think you should start with basic tutorials in the help files and online tuts too. And when you get better do the more advanced ones.
When you encounter problems, post them in a forum and be specific, you can always ask which tutorial is the best for the things you want to do. (probably starting an online riot at the same time, 'cause everyone has his own favorites...) But that way you get wat you want. I myself bought books, but that was 'cause i had no internet at that time and spend a lot of time on public transportation.... but it worked. (Internet is easier though, and more fun!)
