Red face problem in blending

In maya 4 or maya 4.5 i want to morph (blend) two polygon figures( face models) but after uncheck "check topology" it gives me very poor output. The number of faces of both the models are different. Anyone tell me how to blend the models correctly or there is any plugin.

i don't know how blend shapes works in maya, but in max a critical limitation of morphing is that vertex counts need to be the same. and also vertex order should be the same, othewise it'll morph but it'll be a mess.
