maybe another background that wasn´t realy good. The table looks a bit weird and the knot wasn´t that exciting without a texture
Keep it up and nice lightning!!!

even though it's just a primative, I think it would look more interesting and complete if you were to give it a basic texture...maybe rusted metal or something...that would make it fit with the background better...
as it is now it looks good, but the knot looks like it doesn't belong. you might also try changing the table texture like wood or something so it's easier to see. good start though.

Hey thanks for the comments guys. I was mainly focusing of the lighting and not so much on the knot. The table looks that way because of the shadows of the leaves and it's refective surface, well a little too reflective I guess. Here's it form a different angle.

Here's another render with a wood texture on the table and rock one on the knot.

ok well first off.. the background looks HORRIBLE... and it is hard to make a unreal scene look real... i wouldent advise throwing a knot on a table in a forest. go for somthing that you can compare to like rocks in grass. then you can cross refrence yours with the real one. you'll get a lot better results that way as long as you stay true to the photo.
