Scene: Starport
I thought that bug-bot deserved a proper scene. C/C most welcome. Thanks! -- dano

too clean and shiny - you should give one of the robots a bucket and cloth
![]() it has a very 50's sci fi feel to it - sort of Dan Dare type thing maybe try it with cell shaders? Andy |

Na, I don't think so. I like the clean and shiny look. I tried it dirty too and it looked better this way (IMO) Who says everything has to be dirty. This is the future, after all. Dirt is a thing of the past. Thanks for the feedback!

Pretty creative environment.
I just wanted to see the black bot more clearly he sort of makes a dark spot on the scene. And what are the Leggies doing facing each other? Dueling? Dancing? One could thrust a foot forward while the other crouch more, just to avoid the impression one was flipped from the other. Nice models! |

Thanks Dan! Yea, I work on a Mac with a studio display and it's got quite a bright picture. I'm often dissappointed when I get to work and see my renders on my PC. They are more often than not darker than I want them to be.
I was looking for something to fill the spot on the right so you are right, the "leggybot" is just the same model that has been rotated a bit. Damn, you guys got sharp eyes. ;-) Thanks for the help!! dano |

Mac?
AHA! You use Strata! Leggies could be hauling the cargo into the spaceship (?), or one could command the other, or BlackBot command both. (Funny is that your real name, almost my namesake - Dan David) |

This looks great. I agree with Andy-K about the 50's feel to it. It has a 50's feel but with a more modern style.
If you don't want to dirty it up you might want to consider changing the landing pad texture to a shinny metal plate so you get some reflections happening. Make it look like a really slick airbrush illustration, ![]() |

As it turns out, this render has really got me started diggin sci-fi renders (ah, back to my youth) I'll more than likely be using this scene for another render so I'll definately be making the suggested "adjustments" the next time. Thanks! dano
