My Cartoon Character
About a month ago I had to change my 3d Software from Max to Maya. After loads of tutorials i´m now starting a new project in Maya. Its a complete project from scratch. Modeling, Rigging, Animating, and a final Animation.
I found the sketch of the Character on google images, and started modeling 2 days ago. A friend of mine, DahWan met on threedy forums, will help me in modeling of the scene, and the story! Last edited by URs3D.net; 23-10-2007 at 04:26 PM.. |

hey, It's seems like you are getting more
comfortable with Maya already. A question, how are you going to animate the eyes? I always had that doubt, when the eyes are not spherical or symetric. It could be animated maps, but I want to know if there is another way. Good luck |

I think i will make it with clusters..i assign two textures to the eyes. one black for the pupil, and want white for the eye. The black textures will only be assign to a perfect round wireframe in the eye.and then i will create a cluster for the "black-vertices" and parent the cluster to a box which then will represent the "eye-move" controller.
hope it helped. If that is not working, i will create a black polygon, and move that around..In the pixar movie they manahed to do it too...So i give my best |
