[monitor] What would you buy?
Hi folks,
What would you buy if your monitor blew up and you pull 600 euro out of your sock under your bed? i'd want atleast 22 inch wide screen as my main screen. I already have a 17 inch tft as my secondary screen. But these days you can buy a 22 inch tft/lcd screen for half of my budget. Maybe i want to upgrade my secondary screen as well and have a real funky workstation. Anyone can give me some tips what to look at? I want a fast response time to watch movies on it. I'm also playing games once in a while but primarely i use it for 3D. I did a lot of research myself and if i have to say (no experience at all) the "Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW" looks realy good and is only about 300 euro. If anyone can tell me why not to buy that one (if theres a reason) i'd be very happy. thnx in advance

I just bought a 22 inch Acer P221w from Circuit City for $269.99. It works great. It has one stuck pixel, and I was too lazy to return it, because it's only noticeable on a black screen.

226bw is a quite good monitor for a quite nifty price. But the ratio on Inch contra MaxResolution is just awfull. I would go for atleast 1600x1200 since most grapich apps today are optimized for that resolution. |

I have a 22'' Samsung SyncMaster 216bw (about 1 year old) and it was only like $220 canadian and it looks great I would defiantly recommend it. Im sure there's lots of monitors which are way better but for the price it's not bad.
